Curated by George Brandt, the Founder of Gallery 110 in Pioneer Square, Seattle, this exhibit promises to be the best of the best by the gallery's stable of artists. Brandt is including two of Coleman's 3D encaustic works, Resonance and Fall Cache.
Resonance (detail shown in thumbnail) is constructed from hand-made tuiles of wax and pigment, waxed to a board in undulating colors and heights. Fall Cache is a collage of waxed silver dollar seed pods standing on end – in a uniform pattern, but which devolves to a more scattered arrangement. Both are on 16" x 20" cradled board, are framed, and available.
